Over thirty years of experience promoting
antique shows in Midcoast Maine Paul Fuller Promotions is the producer of the Waldoboro Antiques Show and the Bath Antiques Show and Sale. We strive to bring a high level of service to exhibitors and lively, varied and educational antique shows to collectors in Mid-Coast Maine. The Bath Antique Show will conclude its 24th season on Sunday, April 14 at the Middle School in Bath. The featured dealer will be Tim Gaudet, a mid-coast area dealer with over 40 years experience in fine quality Victorian glass and porcelain. Gaudet’s specialty is Royal Bayreuth porcelain whic h was produced in Tettau,
Germany at the turn of the last century. Royal Bayreuth
was one of the original porcelain manufacturers sanctioned
and approved by European royal families and noted for its
high quality and the wide variety of wares produced. The
company was most noted for the variety of shapes of
people, birds, animals and flowers, and its expensive
tapestry porcelain with cloth-like texture and children’s
pieces such as the Sunbonnet Babies series. Gaudet is a
charter member and former president of the Royal Bayreuth
Collectors Club and author of three articles on Royal
Bayreuth.Gaudet will be bringing some rare examples of tea strainers, salt and pepper shakers and very scarce tapestry examples including shoes and toothpick holders for display. He will also have for sale mint, unused copies of the original Royal Bayreuth book by Virginia Salley, out of print since 1969. Sheila Knowles brought her dolls to the show on November 11 and Virgil Fowles and his Victorian glass on December 9. Auctioneer Rusty Farrin did appraisals on January 13.
